Gene Gochenour and his wife Pamela have been married for 38 years. They have six daughters and have farmed in Harrison and Monona counties since 1974. In 1995, they started Gochenour Tiling and began Gochenour Spray Foam in 2009. Gochenour has served on the Allen-Steer Creek Watershed District, the Harrison County Farm Bureau, and the Harrison County Fair Board as vice chairman and chairman. He was elected to the West Harrison Community School board and served for nine years, including two years as president during construction of a new building. Gochenour has served on the Logan Christian Church board and is currently chairman. He previously chaired the construction committee for a recent church expansion. Gochenour has served on the Amaizing Energy board since 2000, including stints as construction chairman, project coordinator for cleanup and reconstruction, insurance negotiations, acquisition committee, and risk management committee.
